Auditioning backgrounds

The background will show through the holes - but is this one too dull? Hard to tell here; the colours don't come through well, perhaps because of the shiny fabrics. I'm hoping to sew it together this weekend.

I have your blog in my favorites but have not been here lately. Would you like to say a little about what this is made of, etc.? It is interesting. Are you talking to yourself or looking for how others see it? It is now early afternoon Friday in Australia and I will check back later today and tomorrow. 'Bye for now. Kay.

Hi Kay - this started as a series of small pieces a couple of months ago - other pix are in the archives somewhere! - and now I have lots of these blocks (domette, paper, sheers) ready to make into a big wall quilt. This is about half the total. Now that I have a working sewing machine, it's full steam ahead on this.
As for talking to myself - it feels like it sometimes! Nice to have comments and even dialogue...!

I looked in the archives and now have more idea of what you are doing. Domette was a new word to me, even though I have been interested in fabric all my life. You look to be doing great on the wall hanging and I must check in more often to see if you post any more pictures of it.
There are lots of pics I love on your blog and I will look at them sometime soon too. Best wishes, Kay.
