Digital 2

Having recorded the video footage last week, we started to learn how to edit it. First, making a file in the right directory on the computers in the digital studio. A big learning curve for those without much computer experience, and frustrating to the non-techies (self defined) - but clearly set out, and reinforced with a handout - We're using iMovie for the editing, and after downloading our stuff and separating it into nice little clips, got to play with the effects - like changing the colour -
So much fun! (But you do have to think about whether it'll actually enhance what you're doing.)
The Electricity effect is great too -
And look what you can do with the Mirror effect - a hand crossing the midline will turn into an alien or starfish - Next week we'll continue editing and add sound. Maximum length of these "first efforts" is 5 minutes. This might not be my last effort in the video-making line of things -- though I've not chosen to pursue video/digital, I can see doing this for fun, at home. Or maybe incorporating it into something to do with sculpture ... we'll see ...
