Laundry lines, and others

Perhaps lines of washing are no longer as common as they were - New York around 1900, for instance (no tumble dryers then) -
The overhead electricity lines that are common in North American aren't found in the UK, unless they're lines between pylons. "Domestic" electricity lines run underground.

Yes, no one but us here in the USA has to live with those ghastly ugly power transmission towers...they also buzz continuously. Thank God there aren't any near me!

I adore pylons and always try to photograph them on long car journeys (when I'm a passenger...). I've done a few paintings of them too.
