Book du jour - unfinished again

Ink (and brushes) and papers. Using vertical strokes. They started looking like crowds, and groups of veiled women (are there any veiled men??) - I'd been hoping to get lowering clouds!

Rethinking the idea of sewing these into a pamphlet. Thinking about the impulse that stops us doing what we'd decided to do, and has us pondering what to do instead.

Lots of questions about the nature of "unfinished" work are chasing each other round inside my head, after a conversation yesterday at Art in Action with Hazel Connors of The Unfinishable project. The things that need moving beyond; or, more ominously, undercurrents that burden your soul; the unrevealed unknown. Sometimes we need rituals, or witnesses, or both ...
