Beyond the Black

An exhibition by Idris Khan, at Victoria Miro - ended now; see better pix on the website. Khan has taken the accumulative stamping of black-ink words into patterns onto slate-like backgrounds, onto black paper, and onto a wall in the upstairs room of the gallery -
Sometimes the reflections in the glass covering the work adds an unexpected dimension - as in the lilac tinges -
 and the green glow around a small work on the opposite wall -
