Near Tiergarten U-bahn station, one of the paths in the park is lined with a variety of
lamp posts - more than 90 examples -
They each have their instructive labels -
with specialist vocabulary (Galgen? Doppelgalgen??) -
They have suffered the ravages of rust and ruination, bits missing -
and come from all over the country, Frankfurt, Dresden, etc -
and from elsewhere in Europe ...
I didn't have time to read the labels - we were off to do some boating. Were it not so damn chilly today, this would be ideal for Drawing Tuesday, but today is a good day for an indoor museum.
