They sat on my desk at work all week and on Friday I threw them in the bin in the kitchen, after the cleaners had emptied it -- only to find on the Monday that someone had rescued them, put them in a vase on the kitchen windowsill -- they were all droopy and missing a few petals but still had that charm...
