Thorn forest

Stamped strips used in "Midnight Garden"--
Self-assessment: not enough contrast, and the quilting doesn't work with the piecing.

I'm not sure that I agree with the comment about the contast.

I've struggled qith quilting patterns for strip quilts for years - even unpicked a larger piece entirely because I wanted to use a whole cloth pattern then found it didn't work. I bet the back looks fantastic!

I think it looks great! I like the subdued moody look. I cant see the quilting in enough detail to comment on that but as a whole I think it looks great.

Really like that stamping. I have such a time figuring out what to do once I have my stamp in hand. Strips! That may be the answer!

Margaret, I'm not sure why you feel the quilting doesn't work, because for me it provides a good contrast with the strips. I like the low contrast you have given it, anymore and it would be a different effect altogether.Like Linda, I would love to see the back.
