Snow Day

At 4pm Sunday we noticed a flurry of snowflakes, and by 4 am Monday the world had gone white - though in the photo, taken under the inevitable orange streetlights, it looks unhealthily green -
In the daylight, a delightfully fluffy view from the front window - and not much traffic moving anywhere. No buses, few tubes and trains. Best to stay home! In the back garden, a contretemps between a wood pigeon and a blackbird, both eager to try to get at the birdseed in the feeder -
This morning, under a blue sky, the park was a winter wonderland -With transport impossible and schools closed yesterday, families had been to the park and made huge snowballs. The entire park was studded with them - Many people had obviously had a happy day.
