Yesterday in the studio

We received some very exciting packing material when the coffee machine was returned from repair - recycled cardboard nets are a big improvement over those styrofoam balls beads or beans -It might become a Travel Blanket - for a voyage on stormy seas. Since making the porcelain plaques in ceramics class, I've wanted to combine them with fabric or make a "textile" of them - but maybe this doesn't work; it'll sit on the wall for a while -
Another Travel Blanket in progress - a blanket for a night voyage -
It's still under rearrangement -
Far too much time was taken up with mounting these "bits" onto watercolour paper. After sewing the large one on, I thought to measure the paper - sure enough, it's not a standard frame size. Nor is the other pad of paper, found during a recent clearup. All this preparation is a learning curve - this lesson is, even when using up scraps, keep the finished size in mind -
