Art I like - Sonya Lee Barrington

image from SAQA Quilt News
Sonya Lee Barrington works with wool and silk. The long format that she used for "Gingko" and "Spinal" - which are showing at the New England Quilt Museum till 7 July - is a great format for a wall hanging  (people often have a long narrow space, near a light switch for example, that needs filling).

She has been quilting since 1968 and teaches in the US and abroad.

Her website gives information on repurposing silk from garments, and her wool work uses repurposed fabric too.
